✨ Doan Ngo Tet is also known as Doan Duong Tet. Doan Ngo means starting at noon (Doan: opening, Ngo: midday) and Duong means the sun, positive energy, Doan Duong means starting when the positive energy is strong.

🍂 According to ancient beliefs, Doan Ngo Festival is an opportunity for farmers to pray for good harvests and to eliminate pests and diseases. Every Doan Ngo festival, mothers and grandmothers will go to the market to buy plums, lychees, sticky rice wine, banh gio, and flowers to make a decent offering tray. In the morning, rinse your mouth 3 times to get rid of the insects. At noon, drink sticky rice wine to get the insects drunk, and finally use highly acidic fruits to kill them.
